I need to VENT!!!

So about two weeks ago my dad went in and got his tonsils removed. Well a couple days later he went back in to the hospital becuz he started bleeding really bad... They then had to do TWO more surgeries to fix the problem... they did the first surgery and he was in recovery and started to wake up out of the anesthetics (spelling?) and started coughing and it started all over again bleeding so they did another surgery.... so he pretty much was starting all over. He was starting to feel lots better he said his ears were hurting him super bad but, I think that's normal when your healing from getting your tonsils removed... I remember mine did when I got mine removed... it is a awful feeling.... any who... I was getting all the kids lunch today when my mom called me crying telling me that dad was in surgery again and they couldn't get him to stop bleeding.... the doctor came out after he was done with the surgery to tell my mom that it looked like a steady stream of blood that just kept flowing and he couldn't get it to stop until he coddered it (not quite sure what that is.... burning it together instead of stitching maybe?) so last I heard he was in recovery.... the doctor says it shouldn't happen again... but thats what they said before!!! he's lost 20 pounds in 2 weeks and has had FOUR surgeries total just to remove his tonsils!! its so frustating because it should have been fixed the first time!!!

Park City!!

So since our lives have been way crazy the last couple years David and I haven't been able to really go and do anything by our selves... plus we just like to do things as a family... we like having our boys with us... but a couple week ends ago we had some us time and it was really fun... we took the boys to my parents house friday night and then we went and got some dinner from taco bell and then found a hotel... saturday we woke up and went to park city for the day... it was really funny because we would go in to the outlets looking for things for us but we ended up buying nothing for ourselves but completely spoiled our boys!! its kinda funny how your priorities change after you have kids... but we had a blast spoiling them... after spending most of our day in park city we decided we missed skyler and gaige too much so we went back and got them... my brother and his wife and two kids were here from washington because cody has to go back to iraq so his wife moved back here to utah while he's gone... anyways... we decided we werent done having fun so we went with them bowling at sparetime family fun center in roy... we did galactic golfing and bowling which was entertaining because Skyler and Kaiden thought it was fun to keep picking up our balls... (cody and sue have a two year old Kaiden and a 2 month old Kyleigh) we also did the batting cages... we had so much fun and it was hard watching my brother at the airport the next day which was sunday... he had to fly back home to washington to take care of military stuff before he leaves... Sue just flew there today to help with everything so I have the opportunity to have Kaiden and Kyleigh for the next couple days... so far it has been way fun!!! Skyler and Kaiden are buddies and they play very well together... and Kyleigh is still too little so she just sleeps a lot.... Gaige thinks its funny to steal her binky... I think he thinks its his... good thing he doesn't know his colors yet because her binky is PINK!! I love being a MOM its the greatest think in the whole world!!

I REALLY need to stay on top of this!!!!

So life is mega crazy as alwayz!! I really need to stay on top of our blog!! I alwayz have SO much to stay but by the time my kids are in bed I am BEYOND exhausted.... I spend my day chasing toddlers... I watch a couple kids at my house during the week... its such a blast... but on top of doing day care I'm trying to start a business plus be a full time mommie and a good wife... some times I think having a job outside the home is much easier than staying home cleaning cleaning and cleaning some more plus doing laundry and hair and playing with my kids its exhausting... plus to top it all off and if my life wasn't already crazy enough a couple weeks ago I was called to be the 2nd counsler in the young women's presidency!!! I'm way excited but kinda really nervous all at the same time... anyways... I have lots to tell every one... we'll start with the baby!!

Gaige is 9 months old now and weighs about 17 pounds... he is a chunk!! Gaige has been crawling for a while now.... I call him my crazy crawler because sometimes he crawls so fast he looks like he's drunk... its so cute!! he thinks he is a big boy!! he wants to be right in the middle of what big brother is doing.... he likes to steal food from the 2 year olds that I watch... he has totally given up on baby food.. he thinks he needs to eat whatever everyone else is... he likes to collect binkys and carry them all around at the same time... he can pull himself up on to EVERYTHING!!! and believe me he DOES!! he likes to climb on things already!! we've nicknamed him our Monkey!! umm..... lets see what else.... he has his two teeth on the bottom (i'll have to post pictures) he has been teething since he was like 4 months old they are just taking for like freaking ever to finally pop thru!! Gaige loves to be out side!! If he could be naked in water outside with his binky he'd be the happiest little baby in the world!! he says mama and dada and loves to blow rasberries... all in all our little Gaige is not so little anymore its so depressing!!!

Skyler is 2 1/2 years old and barely weighs 26 pounds!! ( we keep trying to convince him he needs to eat more than just milk or his baby brother is gunna out weigh him.... and soon!! he he) Skyler is a very active little boy!! He thinks he is hilarious!! he loves to play outside with his buddies... he has become mega obsessed with monsters inc!! he calls it "boo kitty mike"... everytime I ask him what he wants to watch he alwayz says "mom watch boo kitty mike" I swear I could quote the whole stinking thing... things we do for our kids!! Skyler is still afraid of the potty... I think he thinks its gunna eat him or something... he he!! Skyler is getting really good at his colors and can count to 3!! he is a smart little bugger its amazing the things he knows!! he is just like his daddy he catches on to things very quickly!!! Skyler thinks its funny to mimic people... and remembers EVERYTHING!!! example: a couple months ago one of our fish died so david flushed him... well skyler saw him do it so now every time some one is in our bathroom he alwayz has to tell them how daddy flushed the fishy!! what a stinker!! Skyler is getting so big too... his vocab is getting better I'm starting to understand more of the things that come out of his mouth.... one day I am gunna wake up to him carrying on a whole conversation with me!! David weighs.... ha ha just kidding!! David started weber on monday... and so far is enjoying it!! Pretty much our little family is just growing up so fast its depressing!!

Our Trip to the ER!!!!!

So this last friday turned out to be a wonderful adventure!! David was able to work the morning shift which was wonderful!! He got home around 6 ish and jumped in the shower. After he was all cleaned up from work we had to go to his grandparents house to fix his grandma Joos' car... well that went pretty good... So after we were done there we went to Wal Mart to get more MILK!!! (since my 2 year old goes thru 3 gallons a week) Well, we were wondering the store and about to leave but then I remembered I wanted to look for a big salad bowl... well this is where it all happened!! I was looking at the bowls and turned around to put the bowls back when Skyler decided to dive head first out of the shopping cart!! I threw the bowls half way across the aisle and grabbed Skyler, he was screaming at the top of his lungs... I rushed him to the bathroom, he was bleeding from both sides of his nose, he bit the heck out of his top lip and his whole left side of his face was super swollen... I came out of the bathroom to talk to David and I told him I was going to call the Doctor... So while David finished paying for our stuff I took Skyler out to the car and called Wee Care... well, Wee Care couldn't get us in til 12:20 am (this incident happened around 10:10pm) So since we couldn't get in to the doctor til FOREVER we rushed him to the ER which was a complete JOKE!!! We got there around 10:30 and signed in and everything finally called us back to the room around 12:20!! Well the nurse checked Skyler out and ask what happened and then left the room... well we waited and waited and waited and waited yet some more.... finally David and I were SO UPSET that we finally pulled a nurse aside and asked where the heck the doctor was... we had been waiting for almost TWO hours the doctor finally came in and checked him out... well the doctor ordered a CT scan so we waited another 30 to 40 minutes before we were able to do the scan.. Finally after fighting Skyler the whole time during the scan we got it done... We waited another 30 minutes to get the results... which we found out that he only had soft tissue damage- so he was just bruised really really bad, which was a blessing!! I was SO upset by the time we left that ER that night I could have kicked some one and not even cared!! The people in the ER at Davis Hospital seriously have their priorities are all messed up and David and I sure let them know that too.... We finally got home and in bed around 5 AM SATURDAY morning.... I was able to sleep for a few hours before Skyler and Gaige decided to wake up... I then had an eye appointment saturday at 1 which lasted FOREVER too!!! This last week end was out of control!! I really need to post new pictures of the boys, I'll try to do that this week too... life has been so crazy the last couple months... my friend and I are starting our own business but I'll tell you all about that in my next post, I have 2 VERY tired little boys that need to be put to bed...

Well Checks!!

So on Tuesday we took the boys in to the doctors for their well checks.... Dr. Alvey said that both the boys are super healthy. It was Skylers 2 year old check and he weighs in at 25 pounds FINALLY!!! This little boy does not gain weight very easily, which could be becuz he's kind of a picky eater!! He loves "nanas" and "toots" (bananas and tootsie rolls)!! He drinks tons of milk but just does not gain weight fast... as for Gaige it was his 6 month old check up and he weighs 15 pounds 10 ounces!! Yes he is a CHUNK!! He's mommas chunky monkey!! The doctor told us that he is actually 2 months ahead of his development milestones. He's already sitting up all by himself... he started doing it a couple weeks ago... he is also getting 4 teeth so he is kind of grumpy!! Both boys had to get shots Skyler got 1 shot and Gaige got 3 shots and 1 oral shot!! They both did awesome!! They cried just for a minute then was fine. Skyler called it his "owie".
I'm just super glad that they are both super healthy!! We are so blessed!!

David and I have are still walking every morning for an hour then working out after!! We've recruited work out buddies too!! Davids brother Mikey and his Gurlie friend Ashley!! It is so fun!! While Ashley and I are working out to Turbo Jam the boys are in our basement working out in the excercise room!! So far everything has been pretty pain less!! But we are all starting to see results already its so exciting!!

It's been UMMM..... a long time!!

So i'm not doing very good at keeping our blog updated.... oops!! So heres the update now.... We'll start from youngest to oldest... Gaige, is almost 6 months old already!! I can not believe how fast time flies!! I never believed people when they would say that kids grow too fast!! Well I do now!! Gaige is learning to sit up by himself, he does really good until he gets excited then he tips over. He doesn't like to roll very much (I think its cuz he's a CHUNK), he loves to talk and smile. He totally thinks he is carrying on a conversation with you its cute. He is a very smart baby as well he thinks he needs to do what big brother is doing... example... when Skyler is drinking out of his sippy cup Gaige thinks he needs to too so he trys to take it and some times is successful ;). He loves to explore anything and everything!! We think he is starting to teeth... he gnaws on everything!! We have started feeding him baby food and he LOVES it... He loves to take bathes and be in the water... he'll enjoy memorial day weekend... we are going to Lava. Gaige is a very good baby!!
Skyler just turned 2 at the begining of April, and believe me he is most definatly a 2 year old!! The terrible twos are oh SO much fun!! Some days when he's being really naughty I tell him that if he doesn't be nice that I am going to sell him on ebay... he looks at me like I'm crazy!! I wouldn't trade him for the world. Although some days it sounds like the easy way out!! Skyler is getting really good at talking, I love it!! We are starting to be able to understand him more which makes things so much easier on both ends... Skyler loves to play outside and to try and wrestle Gaige, he just doesn't understand that Gaige is still to litte... He loves to watch pretty much whatever comes on the disney channel, plus spongebob. He loves to try and help daddy fix things. He mimics his daddys every move its so sweet!! Even tho Skyler has is naughty days he for the most part is a very good toddler.
Me.... hmmm... not too much to say about myself.... I'm just watching kids in the morning and doing hair at night and on weekends... I just started making bows and doing stuff with beads... I'm trying to be more crafty.... I love doing crafts and making things so I'm trying to get good at them... I do laundry and clean my house every day of my life.... but the best part is I am able to stay home with my 2 boys!! I wouldn't trade that for the world!! I am still working towards my goal at loosing 50 pounds!! So far i've lost almost 10 pounds!! I drag my husband out of bed every morning to go for an hour walk with the boys and I!! I love being a mom its the greatest blessing!!
David, he is still working at life time taking apart machines and fixing them. He loves what he does!! He wishes that they would pay him a little more, but everything is on freeze right now!! He decided a couple days ago that he wants to go back to school to become a physical therapist assistant and then after getting that he wants to continue on and become a physical therapist!! We are super excited about that!! He is planning on starting this fall, it'll be really good for him. He loves to play with Skyler and Gaige in his free time... He is such a good daddy!!

Life has been super busy at the Joos house!! We just recently painted our kitchen and frontroom as well as the hall way!! It looks SO much better than it did a year ago when we bought it... i do need to make all new window valances tho... I am really going to try and get better at blogging!! Also we just got the boys pictures taken so I will post them.

On April 3, 2009 Skyler turned 2 years old!! Holy Cow he is getting SOOO big!! On his birthday we took him to the tree house museum in ogden. He had so much fun!! He wasn't too sure about it at first but then he really got in to it!! On that Saturday we had a little party for him at our house. Friends and Family came to share this special day with Skyler!! He loved opening all his presents and getting to eat his birthday cake...

2009

Our New Years Resolutions...

David:

• Finish College and get Personal Training License!!
• Finish the deck he built on to our house!!
• Expand his Shed in the back yard!!

Me:

• Loose ALL the baby weight... plus some!! (why do you think I married a personal trainer;))
• Get ours and the boys scrapbooks started and up to date!!
• Hopefully be able to build my own salon... (keeping my fingers crossed everything works out with it...)

Skyler:

• Learn how to go potty in the BIG BOY potty!!
• Learn a few more words!!
• Learn how to say my ABC's!!

Gaige:

• Learn how to roll over!!
• Learn how to sit up!!
• Say my first words!!
• Learn how to crawl !!
• And maybe even by the end of the year learn how to walk....

Just a little update....

So now that Christmas has come and gone its time to start a new year with new adventures.... David and I have started working out again and are trying to get back into shape... he he having two babies sure does a number on your body... its one of the greatest joys in life tho.... As much as I dispise my stretch marks I wouldn't trade my boys for anything.... speaking of boys....
Skyler has decided that he's the boss now.... if we get him something he doesn't want he says "put it back" and points his finger to where its suppose to go its pretty funny... and he likes to tell us "No No" maybe becuz he hears it alot.... oops!!
Gaige is getting his little personality now too... he just recently started cooing and he'll give us smiles every once in awhile too... he still thinks he needs to eat every 2 hours though... (which doesn't give mommy much time to do much of anything ;>)
